When Adam's brother Evan (also a Blackfish Team Paddler) started making noise in the SUP community, his younger brother realized that he wanted in as well. Evan had brought Adam into hockey, running, hurdles, high jump, and a lot more so this was pretty normal to start. Adam started his racing career where most younger kids do, doing the short races and kids courses, still pretty scared of the big elite men’s paddlers that he wanted to be, but thought he never would be.

That was three years ago. Since, Adam has developed his paddling skills to now being able to ride with and race those men. After capturing 2 U18 Canadian Championships back to back in 2017 and 2018, he has moved up to the men’s and is scoring podiums in races across the West coast. 2019 was no different for Adam and he recorded some of his best results to date. He was 3rd in Elite Men's at The Canadian Nationals, 3rd (1st Canadian) at the Canadian Downwind Championships and ended his season with a well earned 'King of Kalamalka' title.
