Belgian SUP Champion Loranne Vlemincx on defending her titles and finding the perfect paddle to power her next season.

Dedicated to advancing the next wave of stand-up paddle athletes, Blackfish is expanding the pool of young talent across Europe. Welcoming Loranne Vlemincx to the Blackfish Team perfectly aligns with this mission.

As a Belgian SUP Champion, she is a versatile athlete with killer long-distance skills, dominating every SUP format she competes in - sweeping podiums and cementing her status as a true SUP national treasure.

Fresh off a major international win - long-distance gold in the junior division at Planet Baltic in Poland - she is already stepping up to compete in the elite open class.

“At the 2024 World Championship in Denmark, I was looking for a better paddle. After trying Blackfish models, I ordered a few - and that’s when I found the perfect paddle for me. This year, I will take part in a competition in Ghent, Belgium in December. In 2026, I hope to be able to defend my Belgian titles.” Loranne said.

A member of the Kempen SUP Club, Loranne has had a phenomenal year of racing, claiming Belgian champion titles in long-distance elite women, long-distance junior, sprint elite women, and technical elite women categories. At the Lake Rock Festival in Austria, she finished third in the junior long-distance and tenth in the elite women’s division.

With the latest signings of Selwyn Pritchard and Elin van der Sar, Blackfish continues to strengthen its roster, building a solid and focused team ready for the challenges ahead.
