Committed to supporting the next generation of stand-up paddle athletes, Blackfish is excited to announce Elin van der Sar - bronze medallist in both Technical and Long Distance at the U16 Dutch Championships 2024 as the newest member of the Blackfish Team.

Hailing from Sneek, The Netherlands, Elin represents the energy and determination of a growing wave of junior SUP athletes increasingly stepping up to compete against the world’s best in the open division. Blackfish is proud to help power that journey.

Elin’s SUP journey began at age 8, paddling on an inflatable board in her backyard. A year later, she joined the SUP Kids Club in Makkum – an established hub for youth development - where her passion for the sport really took off.

Now, at 14, she’s ready for the next step.

Fresh off her strong performances on the high-profile EuroTour, Elin van der Sar claimed 1st place in the Elite Junior division and 3rd in Elite Women at Nordhausen, followed by 2nd in Elite Junior and 4th in Elite Women at Namur. These results highlight her potential and consistency on the European stage, underscoring why she’s one-to-watch among young SUP athletes today.

Elin said: “I’m super stoked to be part of the Blackfish squad that shares the same passion for the sport. It’s great that they are so supportive of juniors!”

With Elin on board, Blackfish continues its commitment to supporting young athletes who share the ambition, dedication, and sense of community that define SUP.
