Blackfish WS241 Fin

The goal with the Weed Speed 241 was to create a fin that would shed any and all aquatic vegetation, from thick Pacific kelp to tangled grasses of freshwater lakes and rivers.

It was inspired by a fin co-designed by the late Matt Campbell of BlkBox Surf and his close friend and business partner, Matt Lennert.  Lennert worked with us to re-work the fin with a refined outline, lighter construction and a new foil section. The similarity to the original design from BlkBox was intentional because it worked so well, with all due respect and credit to Matt Campbell.  Matt Lennert and Blackfish are proud to make a fin that will help paddlers achieve their goals and pays homage to Matt Campbell, who gave so much to our sport.

The raked back leading edge paired with a shallow draft reduces drag, resulting in faster top speeds and excellent glide between strokes.  The longer base on the Weed Speed means the fin also tracks incredibly well, and the cutout on the trailing edge keeps it loose for buoy turns.

The Weed Speed is a great all-around fin for any paddler looking to maximize performance and forget about getting bogged down by weeds once and for all.
